Comair (South Africa) (CAW, Johannesburg O.R. Tambo) has announced that it has invested in the acquisition of two additional pre-owned B737-400s that will allow it to fully retire its remaining fleet of two B737-300s by the end of the year.

The South African operator currently uses its B737-300s on the services it operates under a franchise agreement with British Airways (BA, London Heathrow), mainly on the routes from Johannesburg O.R. Tambo to Harare International and Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe. Based on ch-aviation analysis of schedule data, the last scheduled B737-300 service is currently planned for October 18.

Comair currently operates two B737-300s, 11 B737-400s and three B737-800s under the British Airways franchise with an additional single B737-400 and nine B737-800s operating for its low-cost carrier Kulula Air (Johannesburg O.R. Tambo).
