Malindo Air (Kuala Lumpur International) will make its Australian market debut later next month having secured regulatory approval from the Civil Aviation Safety Authority of Australia.

The Lion Air (JT, Jakarta Soekarno-Hatta) subsidiary said in a statement that it would connect Kuala Lumpur International with Perth International with effect from November 11. Flights will operate up to 11x weekly on-board B737-900(ER) equipment.

Using a fleet of eleven ATR72-600s, seven B737-800s, and six B737-900(ER)s, Malindo Air currently serves thirty destinations scattered throughout Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, India, Nepal, Thailand, and Bangladesh.
