Oman Air (WY, Muscat) took delivery of its maiden B787-8 A4O-SA (msn 42378) on Wednesday, October 7 following a ferry flight routed Everett-Muscat. The aircraft has since commenced operations with flights between Muscat and the southern port city of Salalah beginning on October 10.
According to the ch-aviation schedule database, the Omani national carrier has set Frankfurt International and Milan Malpensa as the B787's initial longhaul routes with their launch tentatively set for the beginning of the IATA Northern Winter season (October 25).
