SeaPort Airlines (Portland International) has announced plans to commence scheduled passenger services to Moses Lake and Port Angeles, both in Washington state, during the first quarter of next year. The towns currently lack scheduled passenger flights with Kenmore Air (M5, Kenmore) having pulled out of Port Angeles in November last year.

However, effective March 1, the Oregonian carrier will operate a 6x weekly service from Moses Lake to Portland International, and an 18x weekly service to Seattle Tacoma International. Flights between Port Angeles and Seattle Int'l are slated to operate 31x weekly.

“The return of scheduled airline service is great news for Port Angeles, William R. Fairchild International Airport, and our local economy,” area politician Derek Kilmer said. “This service gives folks an easy way to get to Seattle and other parts of the country while boosting tourism by bringing new visitors to the Olympic Peninsula. The new flights also make our region more attractive to businesses looking to operate where local services can help them expand.”

SeaPort currently operates a fleet of fourteen Cessna (single turboprop) Grand Caravans on scheduled passenger flights to twenty-seven destinations across the United States as well as Mexico from bases at Portland International, Memphis International, and San Diego International.
