Air Canada rouge (RV, Toronto Pearson) took delivery of its maiden A321-200 (sl) - C-FJOK (cn 6844) - on November 2 following a ferry flight routed Hamburg Finkenwerder-Reykjavik Keflavik-Toronto Pearson.

The twinjet is the first of five on order from Airbus (AIB, Toulouse Blagnac) and is scheduled to be deployed on daily flights from Montréal Trudeau to Las Vegas Harry Reid and Fort Lauderdale International later this year.

The Air Canada (AC, Montréal Trudeau) subsidiary also operates twenty A319-100s and fourteen B767-300(ER)s. Earlier this year, CEO Calin Rovinescu said his airline may consider ordering more A321-200s - up to ten in fact - as part of plans to operate a fleet of fifty aircraft by 2020.
