Air Serbia (JU, Belgrade) will commence transatlantic operations in June 2016 with a 5x weekly Belgrade-New York JFK direct service. Operations are on-board a leased two-class A330-200. The route will be the first non-stop flight between Serbia and the United States since that operated by JAT Yugoslav Airlines (Belgrade) in 1992.

“The launch of the Belgrade-New York non-stop service is a fantastic example of the positive impact of the Air Serbia strategic plan, which is progressing well and continues to be on-track to meet and surpass its targets," Dane Kondić, Chief Executive Officer of Air Serbia, said.

Currently, the Etihad Airways (EY, Abu Dhabi International) affiliate operates scheduled flights to twenty-nine countries across Europe and the Mediterranean using eight A319-100s, two A320-200s, and six ATR72s.
