KLM Royal Dutch Airlines (KL, Amsterdam Schiphol) took delivery of its maiden B787-9 on Friday, November 13 following a direct ferry flight from Everett to Amsterdam Schiphol.
On lease from AerCap, PH-BHC (msn 38760) is the first B787 in the Air France-KLM fleet with a further nineteen of the type expected alongside six B787-10s. A further eleven B787-9s have also been sourced from the Dutch lessor.
Of the orders, KLM will take delivery of six B787-9s next year followed by two in 2017 and one each in 2018, 2019, 2022, 2023 and 2024. Of the B787-10s, the first three are expected in 2020 followed by three more in 2021.
