Amaszonas Paraguay (Asuncion) is scheduled to make its international debut later this month with charter flights to Uruguay and Brazil.

Having secured contracts with DTP Tour Operator and Vip’s Tour, airline president Alberto Cabrera said the Paraguayan carrier will operate a 2x weekly return service to Florianopolis, Brazil between December 26, 2015 and 31 January 2016 and another 2x weekly return service to Punta del Este, Uruguay from December 28, 2015 to February 8, 2016.

The start-up began commercial operations in September this year with domestic Paraguayan flights between Asuncion and Ciudad del Este.

Also this month, fellow Amaszonas (Z8, La Paz El Alto) subsidiary BQB Líneas Aéreas (Punta del Este) is expected to resume operations as Amaszonas BQB (Punta del Este) with an 11x weekly Montevideo Carrasco-Asuncion return service. It is currently uncertain which aircraft the Uruguayan carrier will use for the flights which launch on December 16, but previous reports have indicated a possible CRJ200.
