J-Air (Nagoya Komaki) says it will begin scheduled E190 operations on May 10, 2016 with Osaka Itami-Kagoshima flights. Additional routes will follow thereafter including Itami-Fukuoka and Itami-Sendai according to Airline Route.

The aircraft are sourced from an order placed with Embraer (EMB, São José dos Campos Professor Urbano Ernesto Stumpf) by parent JAL - Japan Airlines (JL, Tokyo Haneda) in August 2014 entailing fifteen E170s and EMB-190s.

J-Air is an existing Embraer operator employing a fleet of seventeen EMB-170s and nine CRJ200s.
