Condor (DE, Frankfurt International) and sister carrier Thomas Cook Airlines UK (Manchester International) are set to augment their respective widebody fleets ahead of the upcoming summer season.

Between May and July, Condor will take delivery of three B767-300(ER)s - EI-RUY (msn 29387), EI-RUZ (msn 30048), and EI-UNE (msn 29383) - all of which were formerly in service with defunct Russian carrier, Transaero Airlines (Moscow Vnukovo). The trio of jets are currently undergoing maintenance in Shannon.

For its part, Thomas Cook will add an ex-Avianca (Bogotá) A330-200 - G-TCXC (cn 967) - its seventh of the type. The twinjet is currently in storage in Perpignan.

“We are delighted about the growth of our long-haul fleet, it shows that we are successful in the market and continue to grow,” Ralf Teckentrup, Chief Commercial Officer of Thomas Cook Group Airlines and CEO of Condor, said. “With these additional planes we will fly to established destinations more frequently and will offer our customers entirely new ones, such as Austin-Bergstrom International, Texas, which we will newly incorporate into Condor’s timetable from summer 2016.”
