Cathay Pacific (CX, Hong Kong International) has outlined its revised A350-900 operational plans in light of recently announced delays in the finalization of the aircraft's interior. While the Hong Kong-based airline had originally planned to take delivery of its first airframe this month, it has now revised that date to April.

As such, B-LRA (cn 29) is now slated to make its commercial debut on May 1 with daily flights to Manila Ninoy Aquino International and a 6x weekly service to Taipei Taoyuan. Thereafter, on July 1, flights to Bangkok Suvarnabhumi and Ho Chi Minh City will roll out followed by Singapore Changi on July 3. Intercontinental A350 operations are set to begin on September 2 with London Gatwick flights.

Cathay Pacific has a total of twenty-two A350-900s on order from Airbus (AIB, Toulouse Blagnac) with deliveries scheduled to run from this year until 2018. A further twenty-six A350-1000s will then begin to arrive from 2018 through to 2020.
