AWEX Croatia (Rijeka) is planning to commence operations later next month with regional European flights from the Croatian coastal city of Zadar the airport's general manager, Irena Ćosić, has said.
Speaking to the Zadarski list newsblog, Ćosić said AWEX would offer twice weekly flights to each of Belgrade and Vienna. Operations will be on-board a Saab 340B, UR-ALC (cn 163), chartered from AeroJet (Ukraine) (BJU, Odesa).
The start-up, formerly known as Tushkan Airlines (Rijeka), also has plans to connect Rijeka and Bol Brač with the Serbian capital as part of a charter contract with a major Serbian tour operator.
