China Southern Airlines (CZ, Guangzhou) says it has signed a strategic partnership agreement with China Airlines (CI, Taipei Taoyuan). In a statement, the carrier said the pact was signed following a meeting this past month between Wang Changshun, the President of China Southern Air Holding Company (CSAH), Tan Wangeng, Party Secretary of CSAH, and a delegation from China Airlines, headed by its Chairman, Sun Huang-Hsiang.

The two carriers currently have codeshare agreements in place covering flights between Taipei Taoyuan and Changsha Huanghua, Dalian, Guangzhou, Shanghai Pudong, Shenyang Taoxian International, Shenzhen, Urumqi, Wuhan, and Zhengzhou.
