Philippine Airlines (PR, Manila Ninoy Aquino International) says it has finalized a purchase agreement with Airbus (AIB, Toulouse Blagnac) covering six A350-900s, along with six options. The order was first announced as a Memorandum of Understanding during the Singapore Airshow in February this year.

The aircraft, which are to be powered by Rolls Royce Trent XWB engines, will begin delivering in late 2018.

PAL plans to use the A350s to operate non-stop flights to the United States, as well as on services to new destinations in Europe.
