Fly Blue Crane (Johannesburg O.R. Tambo) is planning to expand its fleet both its terms of number and size of aircraft CEO Size Mzimela has said.

In an interview with Tourism Update, Mzimela said that in line with its network expansion plan, the start-up was considering adding a further two E145s to add to the current pair it leases from Solenta Aviation (SET, Johannesburg O.R. Tambo). In addition, it is also looking at introducing 90-seater aircraft (type unspecified) later next year.

Fly Blue Crane currently serves Cape Town International, Johannesburg O.R. Tambo, Bloemfontein, and Kimberley locally with Windhoek International, Namibia its sole international service. As recently reported, it has also applied for rights to serve: Angola, Botswana, Lesotho, Madagascar, Malawi, Mauritius, Mozambique, La Reunion, Seychelles, Swaziland, Zambia, and Zimbabwe.
