Republic Airways Holdings says it has reached an agreement with United Airlines (UA, Chicago O'Hare) that secures the long-term relationship between the two airlines.

Under the terms of their amended partnership, Republic will continue flying all fifty-four E170s and E175s for United on an uninterrupted basis. In addition, the deal also covers term extensions for all current EMB-170s in service for United and, subject to certain conditions, expected further deliveries of EMB-175 aircraft under revised, new delivery schedules.

"The agreement we have reached ... once approved will secure United as a long-term strategic partner, provide significant benefits to our airline, and will preserve a reliable and on-time travel experience for United’s customers,” Bryan Bedford, Chairman, President and CEO of Republic, said. “The agreement also completes a major milestone in our reorganization effort and keeps us on schedule to achieve our goal of emerging from bankruptcy by the end of the year.”

The new agreement is subject to approval by a US bankruptcy court judge.

In terms of operations for United Express, the ch-aviation fleets database shows Republic Airlines (Indianapolis International) operates ten EMB-170s and sixteen EMB-175s for the regional brand while Shuttle America (Fort Wayne International) operates twenty-eight EMB-170s.
