AirBridgeCargo (RU, Ulyanovsk Vostochny) is reportedly close to finalizing a deal with Boeing (BOE, Washington National) for ten B747-8(F)s Bloomberg has reported.
The order, which could be announced at the upcoming Farnborough Airshow 2016, builds on a year-old commitment from parent Volga-Dnepr Airlines (VI, Ulyanovsk Vostochny) to acquire twenty of the type back in June last year.
AirBridge Cargo operates nine B747-400(F)s, eight B747-8(F)s, and two B737-400(F)s (leased from Atran (V8, Moscow Vnukovo)).
