Qatar Executive (QQE, Doha International) has ordered three more GVI-G650ERs from Gulfstream Aerospace (GLF, Savannah International) during the ongoing 2016 Farnborough International Airshow. During a press conference, Akbar al Baker, CEO of Qatar Airways (QR, Doha Hamad International), said the aircraft would deliver in 2017, 2018, and 2019.
The VIP operation is planning to use the Gulfstreams to replace its current four Global Express 5000s and a single 6000. Its three Bombardier Aerospace Challenger 605s will also be re-equipped for a planned medevac service.
Qatar Executive, which has orders and options for thirty G500s and G600s, also operates three G650s and a pair of A319CJs.
