Naft Airlines (Ahwaz) is set to acquire ten Airbus (AIB, Toulouse Blagnac) narrowbody aircraft as part of its fleet renewal plans airline managing director Rezai Niyarak has disclosed.

Speaking to the ISNA news agency, Niyarak said the added aircraft would allow Naft Airlines to expand its local and regional operations while boosting its on-time dispatch rate.

As is the case with many Iranian operators' acquisitions, neither the variant nor source of the aircraft was disclosed.

Formerly Iranian Air Transport (Ahwaz), Naft Airlines operates an all-Fokker Aircraft (Woensdrecht) fleet of four Fokker 100s and six Fokker 50s on regular passenger flights from its Ahwaz hub to Bandar Abbas, Dubai International, Esfahan Shahid Beheshti International, Kish, Mashad, Now Shahr, Rasht, Tehran Mehrabad, and Yazd.
