Air Europa (UX, Palma de Mallorca) has leased an ATR72-500 from Nordic Aviation Capital, its first such transaction with the Danish lessor.
The turboprop, cn 846, was formerly PP-PPT with Azul Linhas Aéreas Brasileiras (AD, São Paulo Viracopos). Until recently, it was in storage at Mönchengladbach. It will be operated by sister carrier Aeronova (X5, Valencia Manises) under the Air Europa Express regional brand.
Swiftair (WT, Madrid Barajas) already operates four other ATR72-500s and one ATR72-200 on regular flights throughout Spain on behalf of Air Europa.
