SkyWest Airlines (OO, Salt Lake City) has taken delivery of its first factory-fresh E175 for use on flights for Delta Air Lines (DL, Atlanta Hartsfield Jackson) under the Delta Connection banner. N240SY (cn 17000580) is the first of nineteen such Embraer twinjets the Utah-based capacity provider will operate for the carrier with the entire batch to be delivered by mid-2017.

The aircraft will be flown in dual-class configuration of seventy-six seats.

SkyWest currently operates four CRJ100s, sixty CRJ200s, twenty-three CRJ700s and thirty-six CRJ900s for Delta. On the other hand, Delta has fifty-two EMB-175s in its fleet of which thirty-six are operated by Compass Airlines (United States of America) (Minneapolis/St. Paul) with the remainder operated by Shuttle America (Fort Wayne International).
