Tibet Airlines (TV, Lhasa) has announced it will commence longhaul operations later this year.
According to Routes Online, the Air China (CA, Beijing Capital) subsidiary will offer daily return flights from Sanya, China to Sochi, Russia via Chengdu Shuangliu beginning November. Operations are on-board Tibet Airlines sole A330-200.
Until now, Tibet Airlines has operated fourteen A319-100s and three A320-200s on flights throughout China as well as to Thailand. Its A330-200 is currently mainly used on domestic flights from Lhasa to Chengdu Shuangliu and Beijing Capital.
