The airport serving the Croatian Adriatic city of Pula will close to all traffic between February 1, 2017 and March 15, 2017 for runway repairs, EX-YU Aviation News has reported citing the airport’s General Manager Svemir Radmilo.

However, Radmilo noted the work could be pushed back until autumn next year, with a final decision to be made in the coming weeks.

The closure is unlikely to have a significant impact on passenger numbers as the airport handles the bulk of its traffic during the summer months, catering for a large number of seasonal services from Western Europe.

During the winter season, Croatia Airlines (OU, Zagreb Franjo Tuđman) serves the airport with domestic flights from Zagreb Franjo Tuđman and Zadar, while Trade Air (C3, Zagreb Franjo Tuđman) maintains operations from Osijek and Split.
