VivaAerobus (VB, Monterrey Mariano Escobedo) has taken delivery of its first A320neo in the form of XA-VIV (cn 7060). The twinjet is the first of forty the Mexican LCC has on order from Airbus (AIB, Toulouse Blagnac).

Part-owned by IAMSA, one of Mexico’s largest transportation companies, and Irelandia Aviation, a global low-cost-carrier airline developer, VivaAerobus is in the process of transitioning from a Boeing (BOE, Washington National) to an Airbus (AIB, Toulouse Blagnac) fleet. It will replace its last two active B737-300s by the end of 2016, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Juan Carlos Zuazua, said.

VivaAeroBus offers scheduled passenger flights throughout Mexico and to the United States using nineteen A320-200s.
