Air Nostrum (YW, Valencia Manises) will lease four CRJ1000s from Canada's Chorus Aviation with deliveries of the aircraft set to occur in November and December 2016, and in July and October 2017.

Chorus, which is the parent firm of Jazz Air (QK, Halifax) and Voyageur Airways (VAL, North Bay), says it has secured a letter of offer from Export Development Canada (EDC) for debt financing of up to 80% of the net purchase price of each CRJ-1000.

"This initial leasing arrangement, with a high-quality regional carrier, is a meaningful step and good progress in our strategy to diversify our aircraft leasing revenue over and above our CPA with Air Canada (AC, Montréal Trudeau)," Joe Randell, President and Chief Executive Officer, Chorus, said.

For its part, Air Nostrum operates five ATR72-600s, fifteen CRJ-1000s, eleven CRJ200s, and thirteen CRJ900s on scheduled passenger flights under the Iberia (IB, Madrid Barajas) Regional banner.
