Aruba Airlines (AG, Aruba) has taken delivery of its first A319-100 with the arrival of P4-AAE (msn 1583) on November 23, 2016. Formerly N905FR with Frontier Airlines, the twinjet is being dry-leased from SMBC Aviation Capital for a four-year period.

The new addition supplements Aruba’s fleet of three A320-200s which are leased from AerCap. Aruba Airlines currently serves Aruba to Maracaibo and Valencia Arturo Michelena International in Venezuela, and Miami International in the US. Aruba plans to use the added capacity to expand into the North and South American markets.
