Aero Contractors (N2, Lagos) has resumed commercial operations as of Thursday, December 22, airline Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Captain Fola Akinkuotu has announced.

Nigeria's oldest carrier, Aero Contractors suspended operations on September 1 citing the country's harsh economic climate as well as chronic jet fuel and US dollar shortages

“We are delighted to inform our esteemed customers that our schedule operation is back," he said in a statement. "Full flights will commence on Thursday, December 22, 2016, with consistent passenger demand despite the suspension of schedule services."

Initial operations will focus on Lagos, Abuja, Warri, and Port Harcourt Awolowo using the carrier's dormant fleet of B737-400/-500s and Dash 8-400s.
