Thai Smile (Bangkok Suvarnabhumi) has announced that it will consolidate its Bangkok hub operations around Bangkok Suvarnabhumi beginning early next year.

The Thai Airways International (TG, Bangkok Suvarnabhumi) unit said in a statement that effective January 15, 2017, it will cease operations out of Bangkok Don Mueang. According to the ch-aviation route database, Thai Smile serves Chiang Mai, Khon Kaen, and Phuket from Don Mueang. These services will be transferred to Suvarnabhumi from January 16, 2017 onwards.

The move is in line with Thai Airways Int'l's revised business plan which will see Thai Smile focusing on the Indian, Chinese and ASEAN markets from a singular Bangkok hub.
