Jeju Air (7C, Jeju) has signed a firm order agreement with Boeing (BOE, Washington National) for three B737-800s a statement issued by the US manufacturer has said.

The order will become the South Korean LCC's first direct-purchased aircraft from Boeing and will assist in its continued expansion within Asia's rapidly growing air travel market.

At present, the South Korean LCC's fleet entails twenty-seven B737-800s all of which are leased from third-party lessors. It currently serves thirty-one destinations in twelve countries which include South Korea, Thailand, the Philippines, Vietnam, Japan, Guam, Hong Kong, Malaysia, China, the Northern Mariana Islands, Taiwan, and Macau.
