Kingdom Holding Company (KHC), one of the key investors in Saudi LCC flynas (XY, Riyadh), has confirmed the placement of an order with Airbus (AIB, Toulouse Blagnac) worth USD8.9 billion.
Though the statement did not explicitly state the exact number of aircraft purchased, Reuters has indicated it consists of firm orders for over sixty A320neo with options for 100 more.
A formal announcement will be made on Monday, January 16, 2017.
