Singapore Airlines (SQ, Singapore Changi) has announced it has signed a Letter of Intent (LOI) with Boeing (BOE, Washington National) for twenty B777-9s and nineteen B787-10s with options for six of each type.

In a disclosure to the Singapore Stock Exchange, the carrier said the B777-9s are due for delivery from the 2021/22 financial year while the B787-10s will deliver from the 2020/21 financial year.

The proposed order also includes flexibility for the SIA Group to substitute the B787-10 orders for other variants of the B787 family.

In terms of SIA Group's overall outstanding orders, Singapore Airlines has thirty B787-10s due from Boeing and five A380-800s and fifty-seven A350-900s due from Airbus (AIB, Toulouse Blagnac). Its SilkAir (SLK, Singapore Changi) unit has thirty-seven B737 MAX 8s on order from Boeing alongside Scoot (TR, Singapore Changi) with orders for eight B787-8/-9s, and Tigerair (Singapore Changi) with orders for thirty-nine A320neo.
