Qantas (QF, Sydney Kingsford Smith) has announced in an ASX filing that it will defer deliveries of the first A320neos to its Jetstar Airways (JQ, Melbourne Tullamarine) unit until its 2019 Financial Year.

The Australian carrier group has fifty-four A320neo and forty-five A321neo on order from Airbus (AIB, Toulouse Blagnac). Deliveries were originally scheduled to run from the end of the current calendar year.

Qantas intends to use the A320neo Family jets to renew and expand Jetstar's existing narrowbody jet fleet of fifty-three A320-200s and eight A321-200s.
