Air Caraibes (TX, Pointe à Pitre) has taken delivery of its first of three A350-900s on lease from AerCap. F-HHAV (msn 82) was handed over to the Guadeloupe-based carrier at Airbus (AIB, Toulouse Blagnac) headquarters on Tuesday, February 28. As with its fleet of two A330-200s and four A330-300s, Air Caraïbes' A350s are operated for it by Air Caraibes Atlantique (CAJ, Paris Orly).

Powered by Rolls-Royce Trent XWB-84 motors, the widebody jets feature eighteen seats in Business Class, forty-five in Premium Economy and 326 in Economy.

A second of the type is scheduled for delivery to Air Caraïbes in March 2017.

Air Caraïbes operates flights from Paris Orly South to Guadeloupe (Pointe-à-Pitre), Martinique (Fort de France), French Guyana (Cayenne), Haiti (Port au Prince), St. Maarten, the Dominican Republic (Santo Domingo Las Américas and Punta Cana), the Bahamas, and Cuba (Havana International and Santiago de Cuba).
