Aeroméxico (AM, México City International) has signed a longterm lease agreement with Air Lease Corporation for one B787-9. The aircraft, which is sourced from the lessor's Boeing (BOE, Washington National) order book, will deliver in June 2018.

According to an ALC press release, this will be Aeromexico's second of type with the first, N183AM (msn 60285), having delivered in November last year.

"The aircraft will be flown primarily on flights between Mexico and Europe and to Asia, replacing a B777-200(ER) being returned to another lessor,” said Steven F. Udvar-Hazy, Executive Chairman of Air Lease Corporation.

Currently, AeroMexico operates three other B787-9s (all owned) on flights to Tijuana locally and Amsterdam Schiphol, Los Angeles International, Madrid Barajas, New York JFK, Paris CDG, and Santiago de Chile internationally.
