Vieques Air Link (V4, Vieques) has signed a joint cooperation agreement with Seaborne Airlines (BB, San Juan Luis Muñoz Marin) which will see the two Puerto Rican carriers cooperating with each other through sales distribution and codesharing.

Seaborne Airlines said in a statement it will host Vieques Air Link’s scheduled itineraries on its reservation system thus giving its customers access to new destinations such as Culebra and Vieques. Seaborne will also place its ‘BB’ designator code on Vieques Air Link routes. Flights will be distributed via the Seaborne Airlines website, online travel agencies (OTAs), and the major Global Distribution Systems (GDS).

Vieques Air Link customers will also benefit from the partnership through better connections throughout the Caribbean and stateside utilizing the Luis Muñoz Marin International Airport in San Juan (SJU) where Seaborne has interline agreements with American Airlines, Delta Air Lines, JetBlue Airways, and United Airlines among others.

Booking, ticketing and itinerary will be more convenient than ever before," Ben Munson, CEO of Seaborne Airlines, said. “I’m confident that our customers, especially Puerto Rico residents, will all benefit as a result of this agreement.”

Founded in 1965, Vieques Air Link offers charter and cargo services as well as scheduled flights to several towns in Puerto Rico, Culebra and the US and British Virgin Islands.

For its part, Seaborne Airlines offers regular flights to Anguilla, Basseterre, Tortola, Dominica Melville Hall, Fort de France, Nevis, Pointe à Pitre, Santo Domingo Las Américas, St. Croix Henry E. Rohlsen, St. Maarten, and St. Thomas Cyril E. King.
