Swiss (LX, Zurich) has confirmed it will indeed convert to A220-300s, five more A220-100s it has on order from Bombardier Aerospace (BBA, Montréal Trudeau). In a statement to ch-aviation, airline spokesman Stefan Vasic said that with the revision, the Lufthansa Group unit's CSeries order book with the Canadian manufacturer would constitute ten CS100s and twenty CS300s by the end of 2018.

Swiss currently operates six A220-100s, all of which are leased from its Swiss Global Air Lines (Zurich) subsidiary. The carrier's maiden CS300 is due to arrive at Swiss's Geneva base in May with operations out of its Zurich hub to begin in October.
