airBaltic (BT, Riga) has confirmed that, as of last week, Danish entrepreneur Lars Thuesen has completed his accession to the airline's shareholding.

The LETA news agency quotes an airline statement acknowledging that as of April 6, Thuesen is officially the owner of Aircraft Leasing 1 SI, the vehicle which controls about 20% of airBaltic and which was previously owned by German investor Ralf-Dieter Montag-Girmes.

The Latvian state still owns a majority 80.05% shareholding in the carrier.
