Cobham Aviation Services Australia - Airline Services (QJE, Adelaide International) has been awarded a two-year contract by Australian mining company, OZ Minerals, to provide Fly-In, Fly-Out (FIFO) services between Adelaide International, Port Augusta, and its Prominent Hill copper-gold mine in northern South Australia.

The contract is currently operated by Alliance Airlines (QQ, Brisbane International) although it is scheduled to end on August 11 of this year.

The charter specialist said in a press release that the OZ Minerals' contract, which includes a three-year extension option, will begin in August likely after the termination of the current agreement with Alliance Airlines (QQ, Brisbane International). As previously reported, Alliance's contract will end on August 11.

"Services will commence in August 2017 and involve up to twenty flights a week using a mix of jet and turbo-prop aircraft to suit OZ Minerals’ requirements," Cobham Aviation Services chief executive Peter Nottage said.
