Nepal Airlines (RA, Kathmandu) is likely to wet-lease an A320 from Himalaya Airlines (H9, Kathmandu) from July 16, reports Nagarik News. The short-term lease is for a period of 45 days, extendable to 60 days, while Nepal's sole B757-200 9N-ACB (msn 182) is in Singapore undergoing a C-Check.

The aircraft is required for flights serving Bengaluru International, Delhi International and Kuala Lumpur International on 3x weekly flights, and Doha Hamad International on 4x weekly flights, according to Aviation Nepal.

The rest of Nepal Airlines' fleet comprises two A320-200 (sl)s, two DHC-6s and two MA-60 turboprops. For its part, Himalaya Airlines has three A320-200s.

In the request for proposal documentation seen by ch-aviation, Nepal Airlines is looking for A320-200 aircraft with between 150 and 180 seats in either a single or two class configuration for a minimum of 275 flight hours per month.
