Air Hamburg (Hamburg Helmut Schmidt) has placed an order for three new Legacy 650E executive jets with Embraer (EMB, São José dos Campos Professor Urbano Ernesto Stumpf) thus becoming the type's launch customer. Announced during the ongoing 17th European Business Aviation Convention and Exhibition (EBACE) in Geneva, Switzerland, the aircraft are scheduled to deliver during the third quarter of this year.

“The Legacy 650E is an obvious choice, considering the unparalleled experience that our current fleet of Legacy 600/650 already provides our customers on their flights to destinations throughout Europe, Russia, and the Middle East,” Simon Ebert, Partner, Air Hamburg, said.

The Legacy 650E is capable of carrying up to fourteen passengers in a three-cabin layout. It has a range of 3,900 nm with four passengers.

Air Hamburg offers chartered flights to German North Sea islands as well as international flights. It operates a fleet of Legacy 600s and 650s, Embraer Phenoms, Cessna Citations, Beech (twin turboprop) King Airs, Cessna (single piston) 172s, and BN-2s.
