Chrono Aviation (NDL, Québec) has applied to the US Department of Transportation (DOT) for a Foreign Air Carrier Permit (FACP) to conduct charter transportation of persons, property and mail between Canada and the United States. Chrono currently operates as a Canadian Air Taxi Operator (CATO) which restricts it to the use of aircraft of fewer than 30 seats.

The Canadian charter operator recently added a Falcon 50EX to its fleet, and needs the updated authority to deploy the new aircraft on ad hoc flights to the United States. The rest of its fleet comprises two Beech 1900D, six PC-12s, and one Dash 8-100 which are based at Montréal Trudeau and Québec.
