AlbaStar (AP, Palma de Mallorca) has added a pair of B737-800s to its fleet inventory with an aircraft of leased from each of Apollo Aviation Group and Castlelake.
According to Skyliner Aviation, EI-GAT (msn 32920) has been transferred to the Slovak registry as OM-MAS where it is being operated for the Spanish carrier by local ACMI/charter specialist AirExplore (ED, Bratislava). The aircraft is based out of Milan Malpensa while a second of the type, EI-IAS (msn 27992), is understood to be scheduled to operate from AlbaStar's other Milanese base, Milan Bergamo.
Prior to this development, AlbaStar was an all-B737 Classic operation employing four B737-400s on scheduled and charter passenger flights connecting Italy, Spain, France, Portugal, Israel, Morocco, Greece, and the various Red Sea resorts.
