Germania (Berlin Schönefeld) has formally announced that its nascent Bulgarian unit will launch later this summer proffering a single Bulgarian-registered A319-100 to the European ACMI/wet-lease business segment.
The German carrier did not confirm when Bulgarian Eagle (Sofia) would launch exactly, noting only that its application to the Bulgarian civil aviation authority for an Air Operator's Certificate (AOC) was still pending.
"Once up and running, these [ACMI] services will be available for short-term use by the Germania fleet as well as for other carriers’ needs," it said.
