Biman Bangladesh Airlines (BG, Dhaka) will wet-lease a pair of B777s to cover its Hajj season charter requirements General Manager (Public Relations) Shakil Meraj has disclosed.

The Bangladeshi carrier issued a Request For Proposals (RFP) for the wet-lease of two, 300-seater widebody aircraft to cover Hajj flights between Bangladesh and Saudi Arabia over the period July 25 to October 8, 2017.

As such, in a statement to the United News of Bangladesh agency, Meraj confirmed the aircraft will be B777-200(ER)s but did not disclose the contracting operator.

Biman currently dry-leases a pair of B777-200(ER)s from EgyptAir (MS, Cairo International) of which only one is currently active.
