Blue Air (Romania) (BLA, Bucharest Henri Coanda) is in talks with Boeing (BOE, Washington National) over a possible B737 MAX order, Bloomberg has reported quoting sources close to the negotiations.

According to the report, the Romanian LCC's order could tally up to fifty jets including at least twenty firm orders with the remainder options. An announcement may be made during the course of this week's Paris Airshow, the sources said.

Blue Air currently operates a fleet of thirty B737 jets including three B737-300s, nine B737-400s, six B737-500s, one B737-700, and eleven B737-800s averaging approximately twenty-one years of age. It uses them on flights spanning Eastern and Central Europe, Western Europe and Scandinavia, and even the Middle East.
