TUI Group has announced it has ordered eighteen B737 MAX 10 with additional options for ten more of the type.

In a statement, Boeing (BOE, Washington National) said the German leisure group had converted eighteen of the seventy B737 MAX order slots that were previously unfilled. The Group also has fifty options for the B737 MAX and has converted ten of these to the 737 MAX 10.

Unveiled during the 2017 Paris Airshow, the B737 MAX 10 includes a fuselage stretch of 167 centimeters compared to the B737-9 and levered main landing gear. It also has the capacity to carry up to 230 passengers in a single-class lay-out or 188 in a dual-class configuration. The MAX 10 will be introduced in the 2020 time frame.

TUI Group will take delivery of its first 737 MAX aircraft - a B737-8 - in January 2018 for placement with its TUI fly (Belgium) (TB, Brussels National) unit.
