Hi Fly (5K, Beja) has signed a firm order agreement with Airbus (AIB, Toulouse Blagnac) for two A330-200s. The aircraft are part of the Portuguese ACMI/charter specialist's fleet renewal programme and will feature eighteen seats in business and 256 seats in economy class.

“This acquisition is part of our strategy to renew our fleet and progressively own all the aircraft we operate," Paulo Mirpuri, Chairman and CEO of Hi Fly, said. "As a loyal Airbus operator we are very much looking forward to the arrival of these new Airbus A330-200s.”

Hi Fly's Portuguese fleet currently consists of one A321-200, two A330-200s, two A340-300s and one A340-500. Its Hi Fly Malta (3L, Malta International) unit operates five A340-300s.
