Iberia (IB, Madrid Barajas) has placed a firm order with Airbus (AIB, Toulouse Blagnac) for twenty A320neo Family jets the IAG International Airlines Group carrier's Chairman and CEO, Luis Gallego, has announced.

Speaking at a press conference on Wednesday, June 28, Gallego said the order entails seventeen A320neo and three A321neo. Deliveries are set to begin during the first half of 2018 and will run through 2021.

Collectively, the narrowbody jets will replace Iberia's existing A320ceo jets which currently include sixteen A319-100s, thirteen A320-200s, and twelve A321-200s.
