Delta Air Lines (DL, Atlanta Hartsfield Jackson) has announced it has taken delivery of its first of twenty-five A350-900s on order from Airbus (AIB, Toulouse Blagnac).

N501DN (msn 115) was officially handed over to the carrier on Thursday, July 13, ahead of plans to deploy it into revenue service from October 30 onwards on flights from Detroit Metropolitan to Tokyo Narita. Thereafter, it will be used on daily flights to Seoul Incheon from November 18 onwards and Beijing Capital (daily) from January 17, 2018.

The aircraft are configured with 306 seats, including thirty-two in business, forty-eight in premium economy, and 226 in economy.
