Lufthansa (LH, Frankfurt International) has announced it will start 4x weekly return flights from its Frankfurt International hub to Pamplona, Spain, from November 6 onwards using A319-100s.

The service marks the northern Spanish city's first scheduled international service as, at present, it is only connected to each of Barcelona El Prat, Madrid Barajas, Menorca Mahón, Palma de Mallorca, and Tenerife Norte by Air Nostrum (YW, Valencia Manises) (operating for Iberia).

The German carrier has announced Pamplona as a new destination as part of a winter network expansion plan that also includes new links from Frankfurt to Bari, Catania and Genoa as well as from Munich to Glasgow International, Nantes and Santiago de Compostela.
